What is BHCS ?
BHCS is the name that I have given to my efforts at making a living by being a freelance contractor. It stands for Black Horse Computer Services.
I am aiming to contract myself out as a web developer as well as providing off the shelf E-Learning products and services.

Charges will vary depending on the type of work, type of client (private / public sector), length of contract and other factors. Contact me for further details.

How does BHCS charge for services ?
I use an umbrella company accountancy service. The company is called Parasol IT.
When I accept a contract you will actually sign the contract with Parasol.
This does not affect any rights or responsibilities that would exist between myself and an employer if I had my own limited company.
The system works like this :- A contract is signed, I do the work to specification, I fill in a time sheet (usually monthly), Parasol IT then charge the employer for the time worked including any VAT.
The employer pays Parasol IT, Parasol IT pay me after deducting my tax liability.

Does Parasol IT Charge for it's services ?
Yes it does, but it only charges me, not any potential employer. The only extra above the time I have worked, is for VAT.
