Christmas Fayre - Sat 5th December

Santa will be driving around the village at dusk and arrive at the Village Hall at 5pm for the turning on of the Christmas Tree lights.

The Fayre will feature a BBQ, Mince Pies and Mulled Wine, along with an assorment of stalls for Cakes, Preserves and all sorts of lovely Christmas Presents.

If anyone can help with donations of new, or good as new, boxed / wrapped gifts please take them to Hillberry, Brookside, Brogaran, Stocking Lane, or drop them off on the morning at the Village Hall. (No bric-a-brac or videos)

 
 
Driveme The Final Countdown

The Planning Appeals for Driveme are due to start on the 20th of October, and they will run for 6 days.

You can still hand in a final letter of protest at the start of the appeals hearing, so please, if you have an opinion about this one way or the other, get writing.

There is an open meeting of the Parish Council on 15th of October in the Village Hall at 7:30 pm.

 
 
Arts and Crafts Show
26th of September 2009 2pm to 4pm in the Village Hall. Come along to see and purchase lots of exciting arts and crafts from local residents. Teas and cakes are available.
 
 
Fund Raising Quiz

A quiz to raise funds for the DriveMe Appeal is to be held on Sunday 16th of August, 2:30pm at Great Bridgeford Village Hall.

Tickets are £5 per person including refreshments (Admission is by ticket only)

Cricket Match Date Moved

The annual Village Cricket Match will now be held on the 1st of August at Brook House Farm.

Starting from 2pm the entry fee is 50p and as well as the cricket match there will be a Cake Stall, Tombola, Cream Teas and a BBQ.

 
 
End of year School Party

This will take place on Thursday 16th of July and the theme is Hawaiian for Children and Parents starting from approximately 5:20pm. There will be a BBQ and refreshments for families

The event will also host Mrs Roberts retirement party.

 
 
Summer Barn Dance

The Summer Barn Dance will take place at Brook House farm on 4th of July from 7:30pm

Tickets are £7.50 and include a Fish and Chip supper, tickets are available from Lorraine Bate 282219 or Barbara Dewhurst - 282551

Bring your own drinks, chairs and table if required !
