Why Zort ?

A question I know is burning in all those little areas of the brain that deal with this sort of thing.

Well the answer is simple - Pinky.

Pinky is a Laboratory mouse that was altered by an experiment. He didn't get his full compliment of intelligence genes however, these went to Brain Pinky's friend and mentor. Brains sole aim is to take over the world. Which is what he and Pinky try to do on a nightly basis. The theme song to the cartoon says it better than I can -

Pinky has a habit of using odd words to express his emotions, they can come out when he is stressed, but mostly they come out at random.

These are the words - narf, zort, poit, egad and very occasionally fijord.

So in slightly more than a nutshell is why zort.co.uk is so named. (narf was already taken !)
